
SERVICE & EFFICIENCY IMPROVEMENT PROGRAMME LEAD - POST FILLED BY ROUNDPEG
A well established and long standing company providing indemnity for working medical professionals is seeking an individual to establish a process improvement programme for the business.
Creating an organisational framework to challenge costs and the effectiveness of core outputs. Identifying opportunities for higher value activities and efficient time management.
The position involves training, supporting and coaching in efficiency methods and tools.
You will be expected to:
- Scope, plan, and deliver efficiency improvement initiatives, including organising and running workshops with teams to identify and prioritise improvement opportunities using standard tools (e.g. SIPOC and team time/capacity analysis)
- Maintain clear logs of the status of idea generation, analysis, and delivery
- Support the development of more granular targets for efficiency by process or business area
- Provide regular project updates, including progress on the identification and realisation of improvement opportunities, budgets, and status of risks and issues.
- Attend/update Project Boards and support/brief project sponsors
- Assist with other efficiency projects.
- Provide training and education to support the development of efficiency/lean skills for selected staff across the business
- Mentor and guide less experienced change team members in the use of the lean tools
- Provide input on the further development and use of efficiency tools and methods
You will have the following skills and experience:
- Extensive expertise in the scoping and delivery of efficiency initiatives
- Lean Black Belt with wide experience
- Preferably extensive experience of financial services and regulated environments
- Preferably experience/expertise in insurance operations, including the delivery of projects/change, and insurance processes, systems, and controls
- Extensive project management experience
- Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to work flexibly and prioritise own workloads
- Strong analytical and decision making skills
- Ability to use a range of PC packages and software with extensive knowledge of spreadsheets and project management tools
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior management and colleagues and provide reliable and accurate project status information
- A team worker with a collaborative approach
- Positive and customer experience-oriented outlook
- Strong commercial awareness

SALARY - £90'000 plus package
