ASSURANCE MANAGER

An opportunity to work within an SSCL Support Services team (Operational Control) that provides a service to both SSCL Government, Police organisations, external clients and stakeholders providing an excellent overview and understanding of the business.

The post dictates that SSCL delivers an ISAE 3402 audit providing assurances to SSCL and Clients that our controls are designed and operating effectively.

You will be expected to:

• Schedule own work to meet contractually agreed timescales, quality and service levels.
• Work with external ISAE 3402 audit suppliers, the Business Risk & Assurance team and SSCL operational delivery teams to deliver ISAE 3402 reports in line with Framework Authority requirements.
• Engage with SSCL Managing Directors to provide updates on reporting and obtain sign off final reports.
• Carry out day to day management working within SSCL and with the external auditors to ensure SSCL Control Framework supports the delivery of the ISAE 3402 audit and clients (including GBS) requirements.
• Hold periodic reviews with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of ISAE 3402 controls with existing SSCL Frameworks
• Hold periodic reviews with external stakeholders to ensure SSCL ISAE 3402 control framework is understood and in line with client expectations.
• Engage with operational Delivery Directors to agree SSCL responses to audit findings, for communication with clients (including GBS)
• Prioritise activities, working on own initiative with minimal supervision to meet ambitious deadlines.

You will have the following skills and experience:

• Excellent organisational and planning skills.
• Good working understanding of the ISAE 3402 control environment.
• Accurate record keeping, maintaining version control and attention to detail
• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships at all levels
• Excellent interpersonal and skills.
• Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.
• Analytical thinking
• Experience in delivering an ISAE 3402 Audit report.
• Previous Auditor/Auditing experience.
• Knowledge of ISO27001 and ISO9001 control frameworks.
• Presentation skills.
